Registering Your Business Part I

Business registration is a two-step process:

Before you even start, though, click here (it opens in a new window, go ahead and click) and search for your name. While it won't guarantee that a name you pick will be available, it can help you get an idea of what's out there. Remember you need a distinctive element, and a descriptive element.

Now that you've got that figured out, submit your name request HERE
This winds up costing $31.50. The website says there will be tax added, but I paid a flat fee. Here you select up to three potential names, but they will be looked at in order, and once you get an approval, they won't look at the rest, so list them in order of preference.

Now we wait. It shouldn't take long, but you'll be notified when your name has been approved, then you have 56 calendar days to register your business or complete the incorporation process.
